Learning JKD with Yuri is great; he is very knowledgeable
in his technique and does well to ensure that we train properly
and execute the moves in good order. The classes are fun -
definitely a proper workout! JKD covers all aspects of fighting
in various scenarios, CM boxing while standing, Jiu Jitsu
while on the ground, weapons training (I'm not there yet but
looking forward to it) and lots more. I'm about eight classes
in and have been enjoying every moment of it. So, whether
you're looking to get a proper workout while learning some
self defense or looking to transform yourself into a lean
mean fighting machine; don't even consider, just come to JKD
Indonesia learn with Master Yuri in Kemang!!
Oh I wanted to add - JKD is actually stuff you can use in
a real fight.

"I met Yuri from my Cousin and from the beginning I told
Yuri that I want tolearn how to box before learning MMA. This
was end of November and I started training rightaway till
end of December before I left to the US for exchage students
program. Yuri taught me basic Crazy Monkey Boxing, I remembered
it was 10 sessions. When I was in the US, I was challenged
by a kid who has been boxing since 7 years old. He could kickbox
well. He challenged me into sparring with kickboxing. He kicked
my ass. Then I told him, that I haven't learned how to kick,
but I challenged him to a boxing match. I knocked him down
4 times with broken nose. I was surpised that the CM that
Yuri taught did very well. He and his friends were impressed
and asked me to teach them about CM boxing. Thanks Yuri."

"Opinion from a MMA fan: I believe that you are the most
technical fighter in the tournament. You seem to have many
ways and submissions arsenals to finish your opponents from
many different positions."

"There were many moves that I learned from Yuri. He not
only explain the techniques, but also teached me the training
methods to make those techniques becoming my automatic reactions.
He also used very simple languages and analogies that are
very easy to understand. He knows how to help me owning the
techniques that I learned using his sparring methods called
performance games. I would like to thank Yuri for all of his
sincere efforts in teaching me Brazilian Jiujitsu."

Considering my ten years of experience in martial arts, I
feel the last 12 months training with Yuri have been the most
productive. I am so much more confident in my abilities in
all ranges of fighting. Yuri is great at explaining the body
mechanics so that the techiniques can be learned more quickly
and he uses excellent drills with resistance so his students
can experience, understand, and perform the techniques under
pressure; whether it's a competitive environment or real-life
self-defense.

"Yuri's knowledge of techniques is very detailed. I had
the honor of sparring with him and know that he is highly
skilled and tough. Besides being a good fighter, Yuri is also
a great teacher as he has the rare ability to transfer knowledge
in a digestible manner. Like any good teacher, Yuri is always
humble enough to learn from others and continues to improve
his game. I believe JKD is well represented in East Asia by
JKD indonesia under Yuri."

Hi brother, this is Ahmed (kingdom of Saudi Arabia)...
Well, here is my testmoney (spilling):
"It's always been very good and useful for me to train
with many different martial artists from different places,
diffe-rent ways, differnt philosophies ,different methodes,
opi-nions and styles. Recently in August 2006 I had training
with Yuri, Jakarta. I learned some good stuff regarding the
clinch , ground survival and some crazy monky techniques.
Yuri is a proffesional instructor. He doesn't leave so-mething
unclear and he always repeates the things that he explaines
then tests you to make sure that you got the info right. To
me ,the most important thing about a teacher is his/her honesty
because an honest teacher will do his/her best to give you
the true information without holding something back. Before
I wanted to leave Indonesia ,Yuri insisted that I must complete
the training lessons successfully because I've already paid
for it.He is realy honest and good at what he does."

Yuri is a true JKD practitioner, a lifetime student of martial
art. He keeps open minded and humble to learn from anybody.
Many people who know him will agree that he is an amazing
teacher. He breaksdown the techniques with extremely detail
manner… "move your toe…put your chin on his
eyes etc…". More than that, he is also a tough
fighter. Unlike many reputable "masters", he spars
and competes regularly. Indonesia is fortunate to have a highly
qualified martial art instructor like him.
